A special event recognizing Mandan businesses who have operated at least 50 years was held July 21, 2025. Photographs from around the city highlighting key changes were incorporated into a display at our local history museum for all to enjoy.
Certificates were given to almost 50 area businesses in recongnition of their operation during the past 50 years. The awards were presented by Mandan City Mayor Jim Froelich and Historical Society President Bob Potter.
Free cake and lemonade were available to all.
The event was held in conjuction with the 2025 "Watermelon Days" at the ND State Railroad Museum. The annual event promotes awareness of Mandan's historic connection to the state's railroad industry. The event is open to the public and free of charge. Join us for next year's event!
