In 1982, the buildings was purchased by Russel Kruger from James and Inez (Ohm) Hanson. The century-old building was started in 1883 by J. R. Clark at the corner of Main and Fourth Avnenue NW. It moved to its current site two years later. The business was purchased by the Hansons in 1964 from the Olaf Lindelow family.
