Enlarged portion of March 1924 NP Railroad property plat
The statue was originally installed along Main Street in the center of the east portion of NP Park (now known as Cowboy Park) with a small walking path ellipse. It was moved to its current location centered on the intersection of Main Street and Third Avenue in 1930 in conjunction with the construction of the current depot. The wooden flag pole from Fort Abraham Lincoln was also moved to the NP Railroad Depot ellipse. But its condition eventually deteriorated and it was replaced with the metal flagpole in place today.
