The second location the Mandan Historical Society moved its museum and offices to was the former NP Depot Beanery (i.e. former NP Lunchroom) at 411 West Main Street. The organization operated there from June 2008 through September 2011 and shared the building with Mandan Progress Organization and Mandan Art Association.
The exhibit was open July 3, through July 4, 2008. The Museum was also opened November 8, 9 and 11th (Veterans' Day 2008) for public viewing.

We expect to eventually reopen a museum to grow to become Mandan's third historically-relavant destination.
Typical early museum funding sources are a mixture of endowment/foundation earnings (40%), grant money (20%), local funding (30%) and admission fees (10%). Consistent with our Strategic Plan, an endowment fund has been established and regular fundraising events will be necessary to provide a steady source of funding. Access information on this Fund at our webpage http://www.mandanhistory.org/endowmentfund.html
