During the first Sunday of August, the Mandan Historical Society hosts “History Harvest.” Volunteers gather oral histories, photograph artifacts and scan photographs offered by the public members to be preserved in our archives for future research, used on its website and/or incorporated into future displays.
Free refreshments are served.
Please help the Mandan Historical Society preserve our stories for future generations. Contribute your stories, photos, or artifacts, stay connected and reach out! Contact our Collections Director if you have photos, audio recordings, or other files that will help document our experiences.

Mandiana Joan
This year's event featured the introduction of our children's mascots. Mandiana Joan and Joe are twin siblings who love exploring history,. They will featured in subsequent events and promotional materials for the Society.
Also new this year, a free, hands-on butter churning demonstration was held funded by a grant from the Mandan Visitor Fund. Kids 3 to 93 were given a chance to churn their own butter.
